Indeed I do. I never stopped though, I've been lurking around the forums for some time now.

My mario kart 8 basically just corrupted so we'll see what happens now.
All cars, stats, cups have benn reset... everything expect my mario kart TV replays? o.O

Oh well, I still had a blast yesterday playing mario kart with kroniedon. I caught up pretty good in the end... the end result was 6-7 wins each, with krono at 7 =P

Any idea how it happened? I've heard someone had the same thing happen when they logged in on a different NNID as player 1 from the same console and then the other player joined. Let me see if i can find one of the threads.

There was another one, but i can't find it. I have 2 NNID's on my Wii U. 1 for me, 1 for my bros. For Mario Kart 8 i just told em there really is no need for multiple files.

Single player games with story/multiple save files. Multi-player games without a story mode/1 save file.

Games like Smash Bros as well, except they over wrote my Sub-space twice! So i just got a Wii & modded it to load all my games off a USB, & now i play my Wii games on Wii U, GC games on Wii, Gameboy games on Gamecube (SNES on 64 JK!). When the new smash is out for Wii U & if there's a story mode, they will not be allowed to play it without me or make their own saves. They had like 10 saves for 1 run of Subspace too -_- wasting that preset save data.

I have 2 NNIDs as well but I only use one of them.
I did read somewhere that if you turn of the console while on Mario Kart 8 menus or letting it auto power down it could somehow corrupt the file.

However I did neither of the beforementioned problems.
I jumped on Mario Kart and saw Krono and I thought I could join him for a few races.
He then left and I decided to send a miiverse message saying "well played", then I played about 3-4 more races before I called for the day. Went back to the MK8 menu, closed down the software, removed the disc and turned the Wii U of.

So in this case I don't think I did anything wrong

Yeah, the hard part i think would be recreating the problem so you know what it actually is & how to avoid it.

Also if your game freezes for online, either unplug your console or wi-fi to get the Wii U out of the loop. So far only problems i know of are associated with online play. I'd test it out some but i wanna make sure i don't lose my progress, maybe if i can copy the files and such like with the 360 to pc.

For the moment I'm going to asume it was due to a weird bug or it possibly autosaving?
But for now I can't see what the problem may have been.
I could potentially have done something but it seems unlikely.

I'm kind of annoyed as I only had 1 more item to unlock Before completing the entire game xD
And duely noted, I will keep that in mind (problem referring to game feezes)

I sent Nintendo a message about it, hoping for them to patch the game so it no longer happens or whatever.

I would have stayed longer but it kicked me off for whatever reason and wouldn't let me rejoin you. I finally just said fuck it and took a nap. xD

Also.. I'm pretty sure we were playing with a haxor noob. For the party to hover at 4 people only.. And for that specific guy to kinda just warp around the track and have an infinite supply of red shells.... 0.o Javier was the name he was going by.. from Spain. 0.o

Oh well. My green shell on Thwomp ruins was happy to meet your face by the way.

That Javier guy indeed seemed fishy. And no worries, we'll get to play again at some Point (depending on what I'll do at the moment).

I don't know why I didn't use my green Shell to defend myself in Thwomp Ruins =P
I had keept it for about 2 laps or whatever (for a specific reason) xD

Something else odd... Javier isn't appearing in my recently played list. 0.o And that list goes back to Sunday for me. 0.o I call hax.

On a side note, I played with a guy who was also from Kentucky the other day.. his screen name was "Kronie".... I think I have imitators... 0.o

Oh... that's... odd.
Anyways if he by any means would have anything to do with my corrupt file (intentially or not) I'm going to get really pissed.

I can still enjoy all my Mario Kart TV highlights nonetheless.. except  Rainbow Road highlight , it was a good race =D

May even find something fishy about Javier by looking at the higlights.
And I was just about to get online, only to find out you weren't on =P

Alright so I've been playing mario kart for the last two days. To say the least I have beaten all Time trials, gotten 3star rankings on all Cups, got all stamps. All I'm missing is approx 8500 coins xD. Still got some cars and customization tools to go but I'm happy as long as I can get those darn "Slick" tires.

It's starting to shape up real good ^^
