Problems connecting

Hi there, I am new to the site however I am very much a veteran PSO player!

I am trying to connect to the server using the tutorial. I have the standard PSO (non plus) version. After trying to connect, the screen just seems to get stuck on the part just before it takes you to the ship/lobby selection. The only thing I can do is reset and try again but the same thing keeps happening, I was wondering if I needed anything else to get connected?

That normally means the server has died and needs a restart.

Hi there deepest blue. Has the problem been fixed?
I am unable to find out myself. If it isn't, a simple reeboot of the server should do fine
