Hey my brother and I are trying to play PSO together. I am having trouble getting connected to the server that he created and so I also tried connect to L33t and I am having the same problem. It gets to the loading screen where it says connecting to DNS server then just says unable to connect. I am trying to use a Lan connection from my computer to gamecube for internet connection. Does anyone else use this method. I also tried plugging directly into the router and it still didnt work. Am I missing anything? I have checked manually putting in my computer IP and checked that the dns server number is correct.

I am not sure what the number was before. I think it was 106 or 109. I just tried it now and it reads error number 102.

Error 102 means you're hitting nothing. Did you use your computer's IP as your gateway?

Yea my IP numbers look correct. I am wondering if the cross cable set up from my computer to the game cube is not working. My brother is able to connect to your server no problem.

This is his brother. As he said, I was able to connect. Originally he and I just planned to have me run a server on my home computer just for us, but he wasn't able to connect. I had no trouble connecting to my local server on my home network. I think I had port forwarding set up properly but wasn't sure how to isolate that to test it. We thought we'd try to see if we could each connect to another server in order to help troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks so much for the help.

What version of PSO are you using? And yes, it could be a cable issue. Are you using a cross over cable or an ethernet cable?

We are both using the GCN version of PSO (not plus). He was having trouble connecting to my server even when he was hooking directly to the router and not through the crossover cable.

Try using an Ethernet cable in place of the cross over cable if you can.
