Hey everyone. I'm new to l33tserv and haven't played PSO on a console for probably about 12 years. I'm really looking forward to getting some time on the server.

Sidenote: does anyone else use the intec keyboard for their gamecube/ wii?

Welcome to the server!

Back toward the end of my time on Sega's servers I got the "Datel Powerboard". Basically it was a super cheap PS/2 (the cable connector, not PlayStation 2) which came with an adapter to the GameCube controller port. Since I had an old Compaq branded PS/2 keyboard laying around I use it with the adapter and have long since given away the flimsy Powerboard to a friend. It's not a perfect setup as the adapter can get overwhelmed if I type too fast and some keys do not correspond what's output on screen.

The "official" keyboard has some really weird mappings when it comes to punctuation, for example all the symbols above the numbers and apostrophe, colon, comma etc. are all different from a regular keyboard. It was a huge pain in the ass when I was adding USB keyboard/chatpad support for the wii.

That's very interesting and explains the issues I have with mine.

Hello from MN 0927_gc_keyboard_ascii_04

From memory, the layout on the "keytroller" matches what I get with my setup.

The ASCII's mapping is weird.. 0.o every time I go to type a quotation mark I never can remember that it's under the 2.
