I've changed the prize rotation in the Gallon's Shop Roulette! You'll just have to play to find out what they are! grin emoticon
This change has actually been around since Sunday, but there were a few things I wanted to bring with it... but there are some bugs that I need to work out first, which will probably require a few hours of work I don't feel like doing until this Sunday. tongue emoticon A few of these features are the ability to purchase Addslots and the Wall Shields from Gallon's Shop for Meseta (Will probably change this to Photon Drops eventually. I'm still thinking about this.) as well as releasing PGF flow and a base stat Red Ring(It's still strong, but it's not overly strong like the popular Haxed version that was commonly spread around in PSO:GC's past) for 99PDs in Paganini's shop. The code is there, but like I said.. it's bugged for now. THESE FEATURES ARE STILL COMPLETELY SAFE TO USE, but no matter how much you try in Paganini's shop currently, the PGF and the Red Ring simply won't appear.
The Roulette changes have significantly improved rewards. There's a mix bag of common rares - Semi Rare's. There are some great items there, but you won't find any legendary rares, such as the TJS or the Psycho Wand. If overall reception of this change is favorable, then every month, the Roulette selection will change. Also, I removed the Monomate prize. You're welcome. grin emoticon
The Weapon Modifier has also changed. The hit cap has been raised to 55%. This along with the coming Photon Drop revaluation and the introduction of Photon Crystals as currency has brought a price to this change. Photon Spheres no longer raise an attribute by 30%. They now raise by 10%. This is to ensure proper game balance. This area is still subject to change as I flesh this out a bit further; Especially after I add Photon Crystal support to the price modifier.
These are the most recent updates(and updates to come soon).
Oh and before I forget, soonish(whenever I get around to building the tools for it), I'll be introducing a new program to quickly earn Photon Drops while supporting the server and helping me get things done faster. It'll be similar to Amazon's MTurk program. Basically, I'll post a job that needs doing along with the tools and necessary files on the forums( https://l33tserv.forum-nation.com/ )
along with a bounty in photon drops/Spheres/Crystals depending on the job. The first person to accept, complete with the highest accuracy (it's really best if only one person takes a job at a time) and submit it(Upload to the L33tserv Dropbox) to me will receive the bounty. Most of this work is as simple as matching pictures to items or writing item descriptions and the tools will do all the more technical work for you.

Overall sounds like awesome changes. As long as there is a good balance (which there probably is, as far as I can tell after reading this) I think it's great

Wow, this all sounds so great! Gotta admit I played on schthack for years but since the crash decided to try here and gotta admit you have and are doing things that far surpass what was done there imo, great stuff and thanks, so glad there is still a decent pso server around that supports GC 1&2 plus.

After careful thought, I've decided to make what may or may not be a controversial update. I've added 2 quests to the server(available for download too) for self restoration purposes. The first is PSO Tools, which many will know as the quest that allows players to unlock offline areas after either screwing them up with a download quest or just to unlock them more quickly. The second is ItemCreate. It's a quest used to restore lost items. I know at least 90% of the community will not abuse these quests and will use them for restoration purposes only. For the 10% who will abuse it, let me just say now that you'll only ruin the game experience for yourselves if you cheat. With PSO it's not getting to the top that matters most, it's the journey you take while getting there.

I've also added all of the Government quests. The majority can be found under shops. The remainder can be found under events.
Also a reminder for the event on Oct. 3rd. Event will start at 7PM U.S. EST with a commencement ceremony at 6:30PM.

Besides, afaik the primary cause of FSODs on this server is l33tserv TTF; why not just take it out since it's obviously bugged?

Because the last time I removed it I didn't hear the end of it until I added it back. 0.o I agree. It's really easy to make the backups, but even then, a few will throw a fit and somehow blame someone else for them having not made a backup.

in truth I've tried, I played ttf l33tserver more 400 times and has only happened to me 2 times FOSD, now spends a lot less than before in that search, it is always good to have a copy of your equipment is something to keep in mind always, else I never passed the famous warp is endless

i think what KORNIEDON make good , item creator and pso tool only do the make sodaboy proxy , but more easy for players ,

this just to restore weapons. not to cheat or get rare weapons without making the effort to get it, remember that part of the PSO is funest search for weapons, if you use this quest just to make the game easier then I bored the PSO,


we all know that if player level 150 or less used weapons 12 stars as SJS, psycho wand, POM, SASHA AND YASHA, GULD MILLA, HEAVEN PUNISHER, and DOUBLE CANNON LAVIS BLADE is 90% of the time does not legitimize Mad Mad Mad

tueidj bad luck, I yesterday I played 7 times TTF L33TSERVER and I do not spend any of that, nor have I had problems in the warp to fight with FALZ or flow

The quest at present time is pointless. It's just TTF with added bosses and enemies. Back when you first publicly released devolution, before we knew much about it, this quest was used to see if a wii running devolution would have more power than a GC. As you'd probably expect, some users it would crash on and for some it would run flawlessly, no matter the platform. I myself, with 2 different GCs (Platinum final release model and a day 1 release model) always FSODed at the dragons, or right before it during the first booma wave right before the teleporter.

I've tried to remove it 3 times now and every time I do I get a inbox full of "Where did it go?!" "We want it back!." I would love to take it down, but I want everyone to understand that it's a problem quest that's purpose has ended before I do.

That's just.... Crazy enough to work. It'd certainly discourage use of the quest. The Red Ring currently given by it is a base stat version, so it's still weaker than a handful of shields, but I can see the psychological relationship of a quest offering what is usually seen as the best shield and why few would want to see it go.

On second thought, I'm not going to go through the trouble of changing it's reward just as an attempt to remove it later. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY L33TSERV TTF IS BEING REMOVED PERMANENTLY.

THE PSO TOOLs QUEST AND ITEMCREATE WILL ALSO BE REMOVED ON SUNDAY NIGHT. This is the last chance for a while to download it, so be sure to do so now.

Along with this, a new thread will be created so that users may request item restores from other users who volunteer to help. L33tserv Staff will now be dropping support for item restores entirely and will only handle character restores. With the dispersion of ItemCreate, this should be an easily attainable goal; and as noted on the ease of backing up data these days, shouldn't be in popular demand.

Now to PokelinkEB's grinder request. I actually intend to make them available for direct purchase in Gallon's shop via PDs (Actually in Gallon's shop, not Paganini's) along with the wall class barriers, and addslots and a few other items. To be completely honest, I should have already had that done, but I've been lazy as crap for the past 2 weeks. I think the most I've done was move the server files/folders around so that I can make a post to the welcome screen of the server and to the HUB/Website with one post through LUX. I think I'm going to abandon the desktop version of the HUB for now. I might revisit it later, but I think its more important to focus on making it web accessible at the moment. I tried making the original L33t HUB[java version] run through Java Webstart a few days ago and that failed since Java has enforced higher security there too, and I'm not paying $200+ for a certificate for something I can just rebuild in a different medium for free, so I have an Allerycode window that's been open for the past 2 days that has all my metatags done but pretty much nothing else. xD
