The Tier System Explained!

So, some of you may have noticed, I've once again changed the titles. While it's true that I often change them on a whim, or if I'm just plain bored, this change has been given a couple years of thought. Introducing the Tier System!

The tier system works just like any other ranking system, except instead of using funny titles, it uses a number.

So what's the big deal with the Tier System as opposed to the title system? What's the difference? Like most(all?) other private servers, we've always kept our Forum and Server separate, with separate rules and staff governing each. With the Tier system, that's about to change. Your Tier Rank is applied to your global account, and determines what you can do in the Forums(Once the HUB is launched, these forums will become Off-Topic only, so it will be the HUB's forums that really make use of this), The HUB and the Server.

All Users, except for staff, start off on Tier 5. Distinguish yourself within the community by doing good works, being a good role model, etc, and I might select you to move up to Tier 4, thus unlocking more privileges and features. Distinguish yourself for doing wrong or making an Ass of yourself and we'll take features away by moving you down to Tier 6 in lieu of banning.

Just some examples of the difference in Privileges(Some, not all):

Tier 1 - Administrator. Can access the administration features of the HUB and grants full control over the L33tserv PSO Network, as well as access advanced tools, via the HUB, deemed unfit to distribute to the community.

Tier 2 - Some degree of control over the L33tserv PSO Network. Some Access to advanced tools.

Tier 3 - Can Silence, Kick, and temporarily suspend (6 hours at most) from the server. Can petition for a user to be demoted to Tier 6, or banned, providing they first submit a moderation report. Will also have access to recovery tools to assist players who have found themselves the victims of FSOD and Memory Card failure.

Tier 4 - It's a secret to everybody.

Tier 5 - Starting privileges. Basic Access to the Server, HUB and Forums. Can access most tools and features of the HUB.

Tier 6 - Restricted Access. Most features blocked. Can not post in the forums, or PM anyone other than Tier 1. The HUB will be locked down to a bare minimum of features. Play time on the server will be limited to 1 hour for every 24 hour period. This does not accumulate.
