Christmas In August EVENT!!!

Since I'm a lazy bastard, I'm just going to copy and paste the post I put on the L33tserv PSO facebook page.

Since I've been so busy lately (and still am, I'm actually working on 4 different server projects that will all tie in together for one huge update) I'm releasing a mini event to tide everyone over until I can finish working on the new stuff. I bring you "Christmas in August!" From now until the end of August, Lobby 1 will be set to the Christmas theme and rare Saint Rappys can be found and looted for their precious presents. Have fun.

Now that I've copied and pasted that, this thread will be open to assist players in making teams.

Once I get caught up on server work, I'll have another event with one really special prize. But until I'm done, play the crap out of this mini event!

Are you sure the event is activated properly? I see the lobby decorations but no christmas trees on pioneer one, which afaik means the saint rappys aren't available.

The christmas trees have been there, though only in lobby one.

And I can confirm the vanishing act. 0.o In an ep.2 game right now, and no christmas decorations. I'll create another one, see what happens and re initiate the event.

Yeah. xD Ep.2 was refusing the Christmas change, so I wanted to test it with halloween

Ok, the drops should be working. Ep.2 still isn't showing the decorations for whatever reason, but I can confirm the holiday rappys are in effect. Tested it with Pioneer Halloween. The rappys spoken to will always be rare and holiday themed when applicable.

Thanks tueidj for letting me know.Thinking on it, I seem to recall running into this problem a couple of years ago. Drops would work correctly, but there'd be no wreaths in Ep.2. I think after the next server restart the decorations should be there, but I make no promises. xD

This is posted on the facebook page and on the login screen of the server, so I'm just gonna leave this here...

The Christmas in July event will officially end on August 29th! To conclude the event, a special surprise one hour event will take place at 7PM U.S. EST time and will last until 8PM U.S. EST time. Please assemble in the lobby prior to the start of the event (preferably at 6:30PM) for an announcement. At 5PM the server will be going down temporarily for maintenance in preparation for this event. For those living in a time zone inconvenient for this event, The event will run again on August 30th from 10am-11am U.S. EST. It will be the same event, minus the announcements. For those who still haven't found your St.Rappys, this will be your best chance to snag all the Christmas gifts that you can! I hope to see everyone there!

This is a reminder that the special one hour event is tonight(or today depending on your time zone) at 7PM U.S. EST time. At 5ish there will be a quick maintenance period for preparation of the event, and at 6:30 there'll be an announcement Meeting in Lobby 1. Hope to see everyone there!
