I need to take a vote on something important.

So, I tried donations once before, and we had 20$ donated total, but we tested the idea before we spent any of the money and ultimately refunded it because the tests failed; However, there will come a time that we will be accepting donations again, and L33tserv will require some way to handle finances.

So this is what I'm asking:

Does everyone trust me to handle any financial situations concerning L33tserv?

If not, do we need to hold elections or some other form of due process to elect a treasurer backed by the community?

Will I need to open a separate banking account to operate all of L33tserv's funds, or does everyone trust me to handle it through my own, thus saving me a world of trouble.

As head of L33tserv, I could say "If you donate here, I'll do what I see fit with the funds and if you don't like it, then you can kiss my butt and not donate," but I really don't want to be that kind of leader. I would really like to know the communities ideas on this and work from their. Even if you don't plan on ever donating, I'd really like to hear your ideas and your answers to my questions. So long as I govern L33tserv PSO, everyone will be equally represented and everyone has a say in what goes on.

I see no reason why not to. I feel comfortable with you holding/being in charge of the money. I'm sure you'll spend the money wisely and not on any "stupid" things (not sure what that could be tho, the "stupid" things that is). You have no reason to do the opposite. You're a trustable guy wich I'm rather sure would not "destroy" for his own server

I don't think that would be needed, allthough this is only my opinion. Others may disagree on this matter

I suppose you don't need a separate acount as long as you keep track on every penny =P
Allthough in this case a separate account would perhaps be better. Then each and every penny of that account is purely L33t money and will only be used for l33tserv development and more. Because you could easily accidentaly spend the money on something else while having it on your account if you're not being careful
