E3 2012 : Your Thoughts

nintendo Just raped microsoft and sony.

I was impressed by the wii u even though we had leaked about it. I really wanted to know what the hardware specs are. If the WII U is using a ati 6700 series then that puts it up there. I believe the Wii U has to be powerful For it to be able to output real time rendered graphics to 3 outputs at the same time. I think that's impressive. yes the wii U supports 2 Wii U gamepads at once. there also seems to be more control options for developers. they can use the wii u gamepad, the new classic controller pro or the wii motes and/or combinations of both.

I liked the Zombiu Game. great game for Wii U gamepad. Mass Effect 3 on wii U is a plus, rayman legends, Trine 2,batman, assassin creed 3. just imagine E3 2013 when nintendo pulls out the big guns like mario kart U, smash bros, metroid, zelda and starfox and f zero. They are saving any information about those games to counter Microsoft and sony's next consoles. There will be more face pwning from Nintendo in the future.

Yeah some of those games are on the other consoles but that's besides the point. Those games like ninja gaiden 3 being on the wii U means that the wii U is gonna have all types of games. its gonna have hard core games, party games, kiddy games, casual games and of course nintendo's first party games. that is why Nintendo just raped M$ and Sony. what did ms have this e3? more call of duty and halo yeah same ol shooters. and sony's book reader thing that's fail.

I prefer I3 rather than E3(I3ot convention)=P The Wii U seems and sounds amazing, it will probably be the best console of that/this generation
I'd still like to see Timesplitters 4 and star wars battlefront 3 but as of now those games are dead. If the wii U is as good as it sounds it will be epic and we should get some really good games for it as well

Man i was already gonna get a Wii U just for smash/zelda/pokemon & N just made it sound even better.

I doubt anything Macsoft or Sony comes out with will ever interest me. My 360 collection is already 100% complete (not including future releases & maybe Perfect Dark Zero) and i've had it for only about 5 months. Everything i buy now for 360, if any, will be filler for when i'm done with current games/bored. But i have too many games left unfinished for me to buy filler games anytime within the next 2 years.

Only thing that would be worth while would be if Nintendo collabs with Sony's cruddy smash bros rip off & macsoft comes in later. That will happen reeeal soon.... And that still doesn't justify buying one of their consoles to me. Maybe if my PS1 lasted a bit more i could of gotten into PS2, heard it is nice. I stay away from most action/violence games though just cause of the selling points.

And i hate games that try to sell you on how realistic it is, i don't want to buy a real life simulator!!! I want to raise a Unicorn Army in outer space & fight the most cynical potatoes known to gnome kind dammit.

Already saw the zombie one... nice to have more demographics to shoot for, makes a wider variety of games possible. I'm off to look for Wii U vids.

Nintendo in my opinion will one day fall and no longer be around since it is the least played among the other systems.

Now by saying that I also own every console that is currently out, and prefer xbox for its online community. However I enjoy PlayStation for its vast video game library, which leaves Nintendo out of this mix. Nintendo neither has a decent online community nor video game library that is very recognizable to this day and age.


Seems Playstation is known for their RPG library, where xbox is trying to keep up, and Nintendo is really left behind.

Wii U may be launching soon, but it neither interests me nor peeks my interest for this small console will never support any decent RPG. (MY OPINION OF COURSE)


The xbox had the age back in the day having certain titles only playable on its system.

The PS Vita has one up on the wii U in that the wii U will never host PSO2.....which by far is something to keep track of (but that is mixing console vs handheld now)

But there is no point in opinions clashing. The people like what they like. I would like to see what the max hours are though. I know the Wii has a tracker for every game that gets put up somewhere & so does the 360...not sure about PS3.

I don't have a favorite console or handheld, but i also don't have much variety. I just play my friends consoles where i am lacking. I like my gaming the same as my music. Could care less about the artist & consoles.

Its all about the preferences. (And the gaimz)

PS3 has great features as well...their live network is free where xbox 360s xbox live is pay as you go...

Wii or should i say nintendo in general has always been the last console to take the lead in anything, so i don't expect much from the wii U.

I didn't expect crud from any of them. But after N reminded me E3 just happened i went to go watch the Wii U all access & i must say, they have quite a good early lineup. And a new gimmick remote to replace the old gimmick remote.

I love how people will argue to death over which was first the PSV or Wii U remote. The Wii U remote was announced last E3, but PSP already had remote capabilities no? What i find most funny is how Wii came out with the wiimote & sony had the boomerang one. Then they gave up on that & the PS move & Kinect gimmicks were launched.

I would rather have more accessories to collect but it seems DLC is about as far as they will let me go... guess accessories are more third party now a days.

I will catch up on Macsoft & Sony tomorrow... aka today... it is late.

I guess I side with xbox cause its online community are widely recognized and games are easily tracked. Where the PS3 has a large collection of great games but online community is not as well recognized these days as they once were.

What will kill those two top franchise is their digital copy BS which will not allow you to purchase used games form 2nd hand stores. (you will be able to buy the games anywhere if you want the hard copy but you would have to register the game online to unlock the full features)

the xbox has a new plan that is like having a cell phone, they drop the price in their system $100 but in order to have the online play added the wont you to make a 2 year commitment....lol.....i see that back firing right away

Don't forget about the in game advertising they are thinking about trying. I just hope DLC will eventually become what it really is in the end, regular patches to a game over time. I don't see the need to charge so much for so little content, especially virtual content that will be on a server long after you die.

Adding regular features to a game such as items, maps, skills, difficulty & armor for your horse is no longer DLC it's just BS. It doesn't take that much effort to make any of those once they have the finalized game with all that code its pretty hard to mess up.

I wish patches on consoles could be the same as they are for PC.

lol spade be hating. i don't agree with spade. Nintendo has made a fortune on wii NDS and 3ds. Sony is the one with money problems. Sony is already out a few billion. Nintendo has made a few billion.
The wii has sold more consoles then xbox and ps3. the ds has sold way more then psp. and Vita better get some games or they gonna get raped.
The Wii mote and the Wii U game pad are not gimics. Gimmicks only last for 1-2 years.
Playstation Move is a gimmick if you ask me. it don't get much support. Nintendo is giving gamers what they want. they have a standard controller that has a screen.
It fits the age since everyone is smart phone and Tablet crazy. Nintendo has opened themselves up for all games from kids to adults. and that is gonna make them rape.

Im just excited for the WII U, and the New macbook pros. (Yes apple is doing there confrence around now)

Shit forgot all about the Sony conference. I seen some of Microsoft's. Seems stupid. I could not get over that strange black guy that got on stage. Where the hell did they find him? Man I hope he moved to a trash can, His singing was terrible.
Not being races or anything, I just don't know more about him.
I was surpirsed microsoft did not show more little kids on stage. Seemed very fucking disturbing last year.

I am excited for the south-park game on the 360, I want to get a few older 360 games though like lost oddicy and the newer FF games, I herd they are all turn biased.

Meh also can not wait for IOS 6 for the Ipad 3 and the iphone 5.

There's good & bad reviews out there & there will always be critics. I don't like critics, they usually already come with an their own beliefs & will be damned if anyone is gonna change them. So whats the point of even having critics... to appeal to the general masses? Screw the general masses!

What bothers me is with so much added feature dedicated to characters stats and what not easy based RPGs start to loose their lust.

PSO back in the day for EX was easy turn base, now with more choices make it harder for some to just jump into that game...

Character customization for any good RPG is a must now a days if you have noticed, where back in the day it wasn't so complex.



Its nice to have more features do not get me wrong, but their is a time a place to really use them before the fans get to overwhelmed.



RPGs/MMos that I think have paved the way & changed the gaming industry:

- knights of the old republic
- knights of the old republic II
- Jade empire
- alpha protocol
- dragon age (all expansions)
- dragon age II
- Mass Effect I, II, & III


- PSO
- FFXI
- DotHack (Volumes 1-4, Volumes 1-3, and .hack//fragment)


Just to name a few that I can think of right now.....
