It actually supports bluetooth (wireless) keyboards now, and I'm hoping to add another keyboard-like substitute in the next release...

I second that, would also like to know how tueidj got his screens so crisp, and did you ever fully implement that PSO screen-capture thing, where it would refresh itself as you played the game.

That sounds highly interesting.

P.S. Thanks for all your very hard work tueidj!

When you're playing a game with Devolution, use a web browser on a pc (or other device on the same network) and put the wii's IP address in as the URL. It should show the name of the game being played and have links to get images of the current screen.

Hey Tueidj, I wanted to personally thank you for all the amazing effort you have done with the wii homebrew scene. Without devolution, PSO and Other games would be a mear fragment of what they once were; Thank you.

Also I tried out what you said and I am blow away, this is amazing.
Also thanks for a quick response, glad to know your still around! Cool

EDIT: Im trying to figure out how to get the WAN of my wii so i can give out the external IP, or link it to a webpage.

If your internet runs through a router (like practically everyone's does) you'll probably have to configure it to open external access to port 80 and forward it to the wii's local IP (using port 80).

Update: I managed to just setup the wii's port as tueidj described linked it there directly with my sub-domain name and it worked. It's really just to mess around in all honesty I think even Tueidj knows, because it can cause your game to studder when updated.

I don't think there is a way to get full video as tueidj would have to do extensive work,
but what is awesome, you can use this to get way better screenshots in all your devolutionized games. Great for PSO so you don't have that big sega watermark text.

Thanks again! Very Happy

Edit: a little note to you tueidj by the by, I noticed the screenshot is also effected by the widesceen setting in the game, always looks better when I turn off widesceen and refresh.

It added support for forcing progressive mode (which would only matter for PAL versions of PSO since the NTSC versions already support progressive display).

Yes, GCMM if you're using a real memory card. Otherwise just backup the memcard.bin file from the /apps/gc_devo/ directory.

The next Devolution build will have a feature that lets you download the emulated memory card from the web interface while a game is running, so for example you can backup your PSO character immediately before going online if you want to try out some of the "risky" quests that have a chance of FSOD.

It's actually not working.. I'm afraid you'll probably have to take your Wii apart to fix that then. >:

EDIT: I just thoguht of something.. You could try to force it to eject through software. One way you could do this is try to load an ISO in Devolution that you don't actually have verified for it. And probably the easiest way to do that is simply make a new install of Devolution and an ISO you already have ripped to separate storage, then just try to load it. At that point, as long as your Wii's actual ejection system works, the disc should come out just fine.

Nah, the software eject command just simulates pressing the hardware button so it wouldn't make a difference.
