Cannot connect to server

Hello, everyone!

Here is my current setup
-Dolphin 4.0
-BBA
-OpenVPN (bridged connections)
-Static IP on desktop
-Followed all directions for connecting to server from stickied topics
-Using legit PSO keys from my personal copy

I'm past the loading screen, past "Connecting to the DNS server," and I'm just prior to the ship selection screen where I'm greeted with [(No.102) You could not be connected to the server]

I have tried using both v1.01 and Plus and I get the same error with either. Any ideas? Suggestions?

What operating system on your desktop? OpenVPN seems to have issues with Win8/8.1 (I didn't but a large number of users did) and on Windows 10 it doesn't work at all so far.

So far no, though I have an idea if your machine can handle it. This is just an idea and untested, but if your machine can handle it, you can try installing a virtual box to run a copy of win7-win8.1 then running dolphin in that. It should be able to connect then... but it would also be a massive resource hog.

If the problem lies with openvpn not playing nice with Windows 10, is it possible another VPN service may do the trick? I found an article online claiming that windows 10 has baked-in VPN functionality.

I tried the included vpn and it didn't work. Though it's always worth a shot to try it. You might have more luck than I.
