I barely use Skype xD But it'll work. However it will most likely have to wait til at least tomorrow as I'll soon be heading to bed

In my head, it was more along the lines of "Son of Frankenstein" when the son of Dr.Frakenstein finally stops referring to himself as "Franken-Steen" and instead as "Franken-Stein."

Though in more apt relevance, I suppose we could always call it "The Frankenstein Server" to more closely parody "The Frankenstein Monster."

If it's running on a windows box, is there a reason why you can't run the server on startup (to bring it back up after reboots caused by updates) and/or scheduling a task to run every 5 mins to launch it if it's crashed/not running?

Yes and no. For regular Fuzzi crashes no, but for reboots yes. The reason being that Lux has to be ran before Fuzzi in order to hijack udp 53. I suppose I could put fuzzi on a delay, as Lux has to wait for Java to load. As for crashes though, usually when Fuzzi crashes, it's still running, but one of it's internal components has crashed... most typically the login server though the Lobby Server has it's days too. I have to manually close it out and then restart it.

Might just be a coincidence but this is the third time it's crashed while I've been pressing X to view team info.

Fixed. The host is having some difficulties I think. I was doing some work in it earlier and it kept going offline for a few seconds here and there. Should stabilize soon hopefully.

You said Luxserv would fix a lot of the server side issues like dc's right? If you think it might also have something to do with the host... have you considered changing that later on as well?

Not issues like DCs.. well maybe, pending on what's really at fault there. What I'm more concerned about are the crashes.

Like I've said before, one of the key points of Lux is that it's written in Java, which can run on a myriad of platforms. I know I've said this several times now, but again, once i actually find time to work on Lux and add full server support to it, I'd like to switch to a higher spec Linux server. Preferably an actual server machine as opposed to a VPS as I can get that a lot cheaper than it's windows counterpart. If I were to upgrade to a new hosting package right now, it'd have to be windows and the bare minimum of costs would be around $50ish per month, which isn't happening.

I've noticed that the server doesn't loose connection and crash (There's 3 different kinds of crashes that typically plague us. A[The server runs out of memory], B[The DNS Spam which is no longer an issue]. and C[The server looses connection host side and terminates itself]) except when Interserver is running a full system backup of all their clients, which they do periodically. Honestly, I don't mind having to restart the server a few times if that's the cost of having another backup.
