Just a tip: if the server is down and your game appears to get stuck loading the lobby, DO NOT POWER OFF. Just press reset (or press minus+down on an inactive wiimote for WiiU Devolution users) to disconnect and save. If you force a hard reset or power off you'll lose any unequipped items and the game will bitch about it next time you play.

(Someone posted recently about this happening today on the schtserv forums, they probably haven't realized I've rerouted requests to connect to schtserv using Devolution to l33tserv instead...)

I'm really sorry for all the people that were in the server today or just now since I think I crashed the server unintentionally.

My dolphin emulator crashes the server when I join a game half of the time which is something idunno how to fix. a really nice guy called Gunner dropped me and my bud some good loot but then I crashed the server and his items he dropped are completely trashed. So sorry about that man Crying or Very sad

If anyone had difficulties connecting since Sunday, I apologize. My hard drive went out (On my personal machine, the server is just fine. It's on paid hosting and is maintained by said paid hosting Razz

) and I had no way of logging in to the server to restart it. I sent out a message to all staff who are trained in restarting it, but a few of them are having similar problems, so out of 5 people who can restart the server, only 2 were available. With that being said, my machine is back up and running with a new hard drive now. I lost everything.... except for my PSO stuff. Cool

I had a feeling the drive was going to give out, so I backed everything up to my Onedrive. It took all of 5 minutes for it to sync up and save. I never thought I'd ever say this, but thank you Microsoft. Razz

i just wanted to go on record about how easy it was to back up my PSO stuff. That is all. Cool

Hello! New user here. I'd like to get on the server but I don't know if I'm setting this up right. I tried the gc tutorial video. It's kind of old so I'm hoping the ip address is still correct. do I need the sn\ak that came with the game? I got it years ago and I don't have the information. I have no idea what it is and I don't know where the instruction manual is. Probably a garbage dump somewhere. I tried logging in and got a 102 error. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are you connecting through a Gamecube or a Wii?

Error 102 means your connection isn't going anywhere of any use.

To answer your questions, the video tutorial is still current (if you have annotations on) only if YOU'RE CONNECTING WITH AN ACTUAL GAMECUBE. If you're connecting with a Wii it's useless.

The correct IP that you should be using in DNS slot 1 is displayed on the right. The IP is 173.214.164.235
Be sure not to mistake the coma with the period when typing this in, as in the virtual keyboard the 2 look very similar.

You will need a SN/AK, but it doesn't have to be a genuine one. You can make one up, so long as it isn't something stupid like all 1's or 1234-567X-XXXX. I think you get the idea. Try to make it unique.

Thanks for the quick response. I am using a gamecube and I followed the tutorial. Seems like everything is set up the way it is supposed to be but no matter what I try I get the 102 error. I'm not sure what the issue is. I've tried the sn/ak a bunch of different way but nothing seems to work! Sad

Are you connecting straight to your router?

Under IP settings, do you have it set to Automatically Retrieve IP from DHCP? If not, try that now.

If it is under automatic, you can try manually setting it by assigning a static lan IP to your cube. Just make sure the IP you give it isn't currently in use by your LAN.

If your router has a dmz option you can try placing your cube in it. Alternatively you can try forwarding ports udp 53 and port 9100 to your cube.

Was playing and just a few mins ago says that has an error on the monitor screen then both me and when i try to comeback it says Error 101 cant connect to the server.
