Hello I am one of Boryzto friends we just want to say thank you for everything you do here and also you asked a question on which version we are a ll using and we each have version 1.1 NTSC not+.

P.S. By the way the Christmas event was awesome! but I couldn't download the "Gallon Shop" quest I think it was bugged.
But I got everything else!

Were you playing through devolution? This problem came up then, and it seems that only devolution players were affected. I'm going to look at the quest when i get a chance to see if anything there could possibly be the culprit.

It would be more likely to be caused by using a modem connection vs. BBA/ethernet (smaller MTU due to PPP encapsulation etc.) than a problem specifically with Devolution. There's obviously something not kosher with quest downloads because the progress bar never moves, compared to other PSO servers.

lol, yeah. Fuzzi never implemented the loading bar. He used to have a page listing all the various bugs on his forums before he took them down, and that was one of them. Just something to fix in Lux. Still seems odd that Gallon's Shop is the only quest to error out. It's not a particularly big quest data wise so I doubt the MTU limitations would be the issue, with reference to the larger quest files being downloaded with no problem.

It's most likely a Fuzzi issue. For those unfamiliar with Fuzzi, each time you reinitialize the server, it copies the quests and adds a D to the beginning of it for downloads. I suspect there's an error there. I'ma go look at it and see if i find anything.

And I was right. I'm going to turn downloads back on for a bit. See if it works now.

I remember there was 2-3 quest that wouldn't download properly for me.

I can confirm Gallon's Shop is downloadable. It took me renaming it and re-entering it into the quest index under a new file, but it's fixed .

The server has learned a new trick it seems. It's exiting out of itself. 0.o It should stay on this time. I suspect the hosting company has something to do with this.

I've been playing online with my younger brother through the Gamecube and the Dolphin emulator and its been working great but the game disconnects us a lot when we connect to an episode
(though this may just be a coincedence since we have gotten it to work a few days ago and played for a couple hours until the server shut down)

And we tried again and it was working for about 10 minutes until it shut down again for both of us around 1:40 PM Pacific Time. Is the server going through maitenence or is this another issue entirely?

its back up now. What's happening is the server is buckling under the stress load right now and closing itself out. Today alone throughout the day, we've had over 150 give or take people log in, and this software just can't handle it. I'm working on the new software as fast as I can (That doesn't count time procrastinating does it? ). At the end of this month, I'll be going on vacation from my actual job, and hopefully will be able to get LuxServ rolled out by then. Until I get it out, the Fuzzi software is going to keep doing this to us.

We'lll see if james can add you back. Only reason I joined it was to help the gc players xD. But yeah, the population is buckling down the software... I'm kinda glad I know it's limitations now though.

Alright lol, I mean they probably did because of what I said about the other serv but its odd that I was the only one that got the boot when other ppl said MUCH MUCH worse about it and the admins of that server.

While I won't post this outside of the L33t domain, there is some truth to what was posted. They have been known to pull stunts like that. The most recent being Miureth trying to stir up trouble both here and on Legit's server. She was quickly dealt with, but the fact remains that it was in poor showing. I personally can't say anything about Crono or Lee. I've never in my life interacted with Crono. The only thing I know of him is second hand. Lee is alright though. Has a bit of a rough personality, but I doubt he'd attack another server. Lee and I have had a few amusing bouts of words here and there, but ultimately, that's all they were. xD I actually have a quite a bit of respect for him, coming from a sever admin standpoint. Scht is a much larger server with a much whinier community. To deal with all that, voluntarily, and still be able to actively maintain a public presence is a deed worth commendation.

As far as corruption of Scht goes, I really could care less, but that might be because i don't play there and because I see things from the point of view of an administrator. I do believe they're egotistical and abuse power far too much (mainly their mods). That's why the only person that can actually ban here is me, which since 2008 I've only banned 2 people.

With the donation fiasco, I really wouldn't mind that either, so long as the server was being taken care of. For several years, they've volunteered precious time and countless hours of work to try to give PSO(BB) players more content. Granted, I've been paying for L33t out of pocket for the past few years (Every once in a while we get a donation )... so yeah, there's that. xD

I guess I wouldn't be a very good person to comment about the state of scht since I left it's community back in 08. What I do know is, is that I'm very happy with the L33t community, both our veterans and new comers. Showing patience, support and true passion for the game. What we currently lack in server support we more than make up for in community quality.
